A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Ohio Township Association
on the Ninety-fifth Anniversary of its establishment.

WHEREAS,  The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to commend the Ohio Township Association on its Ninety-fifth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS,  Over the years, the Ohio Township Association has consistently demonstrated exemplary professionalism and expertise, as well as an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest ideals of democracy. The association was formed in 1928 to help protect the township form of government in Ohio, and it has more than lived up to its goals and principles; and 

WHEREAS,  Due to the tremendous effort and initiative it has displayed, the Ohio Township Association has grown significantly during the last nine and a half decades, and this noteworthy organization is certainly deserving of high praise. This special anniversary offers a unique opportunity to reflect on the association’s tradition of success and to look with optimism to the years ahead; and

WHEREAS,  It is not surprising that the Ohio Township Association has achieved widespread recognition, for it has far surpassed the expectations of its founding members and their communities. Indeed, it exemplifies the essence of the American democratic spirit and sets the standard to which other such governmental bodies can aspire; therefore be it

RESOLVED,  That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate the Ohio Township Association on the occasion of its Ninety-fifth Anniversary and offer best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED,  That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ohio Township Association.
