A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Barberton Rotary Club
on its One Hundredth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud the Barberton Rotary Club on the celebration of its Centennial, February 29, 2024; and

WHEREAS, A one hundredth anniversary is a distinctive milestone, and it affords the opportunity to acknowledge the remarkable philanthropic work done by the Barberton Rotary Club. An outstanding affiliate of Rotary International, the organization has a long and distinguished history of civic service, including supporting such projects as the playground at McCafferty Park, the sensory room and outdoor equipment storage shed at Barberton Preschool, the disc golf course at Tuscarawas Park, and the signage on the Towpath Trail, and through its numerous initiatives, it has helped shape a brighter future; and

WHEREAS, The diligent efforts of people such as those affiliated with the Barberton Rotary Club, both past and present, are one of many reasons that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper. Through their involvement with various beneficial programs and activities, the members of this praiseworthy group have not only had the chance to express their personal talents and skills, but they have also helped to better the lives of those around them; and

WHEREAS, The many individuals who have supported the Barberton Rotary Club are, indeed, to be commended for their foresight, dedication, and selfless donations of time, energy, and ability far beyond what was required or expected. These fine Ohioans have displayed initiative and concern for others, and they have left a lasting impact on the area; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the Barberton Rotary Club on its Centennial and offer best wishes for the years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Barberton Rotary Club.
