A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Akron Rotary Camp
on its One Hundredth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Akron Rotary Camp as it celebrates its Centennial; and

WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is, indeed, a fitting tribute to the Akron Rotary Camp, for it has attained a remarkable record of accomplishment. Established by the Akron Rotary Club in 1924, the site offers a variety of programming and activities, and it has helped countless individuals with disabilities experience the wonder and splendor of our natural world in a safe space. Truly, it has earned the respect and appreciation of many over the past ten decades; and

WHEREAS, Willingly giving of their time, energy, and abilities, the staff and volunteers, both past and present, of the Akron Rotary Camp have worked tirelessly to create a memorable experience for numerous area youth. We are proud to note that it is through the diligent efforts of conscientious individuals such as these that Ohio continues to grow and prosper; and

WHEREAS, As the stewards of the Akron Rotary Camp celebrate this event, they have the unique opportunity to reaffirm their goals and to formulate new policies to meet the challenges of the future. It is through the work of people such as all those associated with the camp, who are invested in the enrichment and improvement of others, that our state remains responsive to the needs of its residents; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the Akron Rotary Camp on its One Hundredth Anniversary and salute its participants, staff, and volunteers as outstanding Ohioans; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Akron Rotary Camp.
