A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Dr. Beth Liston
for her exemplary service to the Ohio House of Representatives.

WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to recognize Dr. Beth Liston for her outstanding tenure as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives; and

WHEREAS, Beth Liston is deserving of high praise for her dedicated service to the 8th House District. An able steward to the State of Ohio, she brought a wealth of experience to her post through her endeavors as an internal medicine and pediatric physician at Yale New Haven Hospital, a hospitalist at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital, a professor of clinical internal medicine and pediatrics at The Ohio State University, and a member of the Columbus Medical Association and the Dublin Worthington Rotary. Indeed, she is a staunch supporter of the well-being of her constituency and has sponsored into law various bills in wide-ranging areas of interest; and

WHEREAS, Beth Liston is an effectual ambassador for communities throughout portions of Franklin County, and she has combined civic concern and commitment with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader. In addition, she has been active with the Families and Aging, Finance, Health Provider Services, and Public Health Policy committees, the Finance Subcommittee on Health and Human Services, and the Conference Committee on H.B. 33, and her sincerity and integrity have distinguished her as a conscientious and hard-working Ohioan; and

WHEREAS, Beth Liston has been characterized by her ambition and expertise, and she has earned not only the respect of those with whom she has worked but also the gratitude of the citizens she has so capably represented. As she reflects on her career with the Ohio House of Representatives, she has the satisfaction of knowing that she has established a record of personal and professional excellence that will stand as a hallmark for others in public service to emulate; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Dr. Beth Liston as an esteemed Ohio Representative and extend best wishes for happiness and fulfillment in the years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the House of Representatives transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dr. Beth Liston.
