A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Marion Local High School boys track and field team on placing first at the 2023 Division III State Meet.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to applaud the Marion Local High School boys track and field team on winning first place at the 2023 Division III State Meet; and

WHEREAS, The talented members of the Marion Local High School boys track and field team are, indeed, to be heartily commended, for by accumulating an impressive total of 38 points, they have decisively earned this year’s overall state title. The success of the Flyers reflects an outstanding collective effort by a gifted group of athletes. Without exception, they had prepared conscientiously in pursuit of their goals, devoting countless hours to training and practice in order to ensure peak conditioning, and clearly, this demanding regimen has paid handsome dividends; and

WHEREAS, Under the leadership of Coach Kyle Grabowski, the members of the Marion Local High School boys track and field team have epitomized the power, poise, and precision that befit true champions. Despite sometimes grueling pressure, they have consistently maintained their composure and morale, exhibiting strength, speed, stamina, and agility in every challenging encounter. Time and again, they have risen to the occasion, amply demonstrating their unflagging determination, and their impressive maturity and finesse have earned them widespread respect, even among their most formidable rivals; and

WHEREAS, By weathering a rigorous schedule and prevailing over a host of adversaries, the members of the Marion Local High School boys track and field team have learned much about dedication, self-discipline, leadership, and perseverance. Their first-place finish is a measure of their stalwart commitment to the sport, and their indomitable spirit has made their families, friends, and coach extremely proud. This triumph attests to the staunch resolve of these young men, and it signifies the acquisition of valuable experience that is sure to benefit them in later life; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, pay tribute to the Marion Local High School boys track and field team for its brilliant season and wish its members continued success in all of their future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Marion Local High School boys track and field team.
