A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the St. Edward High School football team on winning the 2022 Division I State Championship.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to the St. Edward High School football team as the 2022 Division I State Champion; and

WHEREAS, The St. Edward High School football team is to be commended, for throughout their triumphant season, the Eagles have grown as athletes by exhibiting astounding speed, stamina, and skill. Their victories over a host of talented opponents underscore the prowess and indomitable spirit of every member of the team; and

WHEREAS, Time and again, the Eagles have risen to the occasion, and they have maintained their morale, composure, and good sportsmanship in the face of a challenging field of competitors. Their record of attainment is worthy of emulation, and they have gained the respect of even their most determined rivals; and

WHEREAS, Under the expert guidance of Coach Tom Lombardo, the gifted athletes on the St. Edward High School football team have diligently applied themselves to the quest for excellence, devoting countless hours to rigorous training in order to ensure peak conditioning. Participation in football has taught them a great deal about commitment, self-discipline, and leadership, and they have made their families, their friends, and their community very proud; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud the St. Edward High School football team on its outstanding success and wish its members success in all of their future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the St. Edward High School football team.
