A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio on the occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio as it celebrates its One Hundredth Anniversary; and

WHEREAS, This is, indeed, an important occasion, and it provides an ideal time to acknowledge the exceptional work done by The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio. Established in 1923 as the Toledo Society for the Blind, this nonprofit has helped many people who are dealing with visual impairment or loss, and its unique blend of resources, programs, and supportive services have gained it the gratitude and appreciation of all those it has assisted. Indeed, this agency’s impressive contributions to the community readily explain why it is so widely held in high esteem; and

WHEREAS, All those associated with The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio are to be commended for their foresight, dedication, and selfless donations of time, energy, and ability far beyond what was required or expected. These fine people have earned the respect and admiration of many and have set an example of concerned and responsible citizenship worthy of emulation; and

WHEREAS, Since its inception, The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio has experienced tremendous growth and success, expanding its service area to include eighteen counties as well as parts of Southeast Michigan and Central Ohio. We are certain that as this fine organization maintains its unfaltering dedication to compassionate service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has become its hallmark; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio on its Centennial and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio.
