A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Baker Florist on its Centennial.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Baker Florist on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary, celebrated April 18, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to Baker Florist, for throughout the past century, this fine business has attained a remarkable record of service to the Tuscarawas County area. Established by Roy and Hazel Baker in downtown Dover in 1924, the shop moved to its current location on North Walnut Street just two years later, and since that time, and it is known for providing high quality flowers at a value to its customers; and

WHEREAS, The success of Baker Florist is a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the business itself but also on the astute management of its fourth-generation owner, Dalene Baker, and on its hard-working employees. This respected enterprise has earned the gratitude and appreciation of many satisfied customers due to the vision and initiative of its staff, and it is truly deserving of high praise; and

WHEREAS, Over the years, Baker Florist has enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area. We are certain that as this worthy establishment maintains its unwavering dedication to service and achievement, it will continue to prosper and will uphold the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Baker Florist on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Baker Florist.
