A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring the Ohio Grocers Association on its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Ohio Grocers Association on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary, celebrated April 20, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the Ohio Grocers Association, for since its inception in 1899, it has achieved a remarkable record of service to the state. Representing more than five hundred grocers, wholesalers, brokers, and associates, this non-profit trade association has always been dedicated to the welfare of and advocacy for the grocery industry, and its accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the organization itself but also on its diligent members, who are conscientious and hard-working Ohioans; and

WHEREAS, Over the past one hundred twenty-five years, the Ohio Grocers Association has enhanced the quality of life within the State of Ohio, and through its generous contributions, it has gained the esteem and gratitude of the many individuals it has so capably served. We are certain that as this worthy endeavor maintains its commitment to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark; and

WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of organizations such as the Ohio Grocers Association that Ohio has earned a reputation as a state that is responsive to the needs of its citizens and has remained a pleasant place in which to live and work. The group is truly deserving of high praise; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Ohio Grocers Association on its One Hundred Twenty-fifth Anniversary and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Ohio Grocers Association.
