A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Fligner’s Market on its Centennial.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Fligner’s Market on its One Hundredth Anniversary, celebrated June 22, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Over the years, the management and staff of Fligner’s Market have consistently demonstrated exemplary professionalism and expertise, as well as an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest industry standards. The tremendous effort and initiative displayed by the employees have been instrumental in the success of the venture, and the dedication of four generations of the Fligner family is certainly worthy of acknowledgement; and

WHEREAS, It is not surprising that Fligner’s Market has achieved renown, for it has not only striven to provide customers with the best shopping experience possible, but it has also been an active part of the Lorain community, providing jobs, assisting people in need, and supporting local Coast Guard stations. Indeed, it exemplifies the American entrepreneurial spirit and sets the benchmark to which other such enterprises can aspire; and

WHEREAS, Ohio’s economic well-being depends on innovative business entrepreneurs to provide goods and services to the citizens of our state. We are proud to note that it is through the diligence of individuals such as all those associated with Fligner’s Market, who are willing to invest in the future of their community, that the State of Ohio remains a pleasant place in which to live and work; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Fligner’s Market on the occasion of its Centennial and offer best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Fligner’s Market.
