A R E S O L U T I O N

Honoring Dana R. Skinner on being selected as the 2022 Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper of the Year.

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Dana R. Skinner as the 2022 State Trooper of the Year for the Ohio State Highway Patrol; and

WHEREAS, Dana Skinner has combined civic concern and commitment with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in the field of law enforcement. Joining the Ohio State Highway Patrol in 2001, she served in such locations as the Piqua Post and the Training Academy before being assigned to the Toledo Post. She has been honored by fellow troopers for her outstanding service, leadership abilities, professional ethics, and courteous treatment of others, as well as for her enthusiastic work attitude and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public; and

WHEREAS, In being selected for this noteworthy distinction, Dana Skinner has been acknowledged as a remarkable member of the Ohio State Highway Patrol. She has expended countless hours and seemingly inexhaustible energy in the interest of others, and it is through the unsurpassed efforts and consistent support of conscientious individuals such as she that our state has remained responsive to the diverse needs of its residents; and

WHEREAS, Demonstrating a sincere concern for the future of the Toledo area, Dana Skinner has given back to the community far more than she has gleaned, and her selfless endeavors stand as the hallmark of responsible citizenship. She has set an example of humanitarian service worthy of emulation, and we commend her for her dedication to our state; therefore be it

RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 135th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Dana R. Skinner on her exemplary accolade and salute her as one of Ohio’s finest law enforcement officers; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dana R. Skinner.
